Pendle 3 Peaks FAQ

When do I get my race number?
Race numbers and timing chips are to be collected by each runner from Barley Village Hall, Cross Lane, Barley, Burnley, Lancashire, BB12 9JU between 09:00 and 10:45 on race day, please arrive early.

Can I enter on the day?

Can I have a refund or defer my entry if I am injured or cannot make the race?
Please see the terms and conditions, there is a cut off time for a partial refund or discount from a future race. We start incurring costs as soon as an athlete enters and we cannot recoup these costs if an athlete pulls out of a race.

What kit do I need to carry?
Full Kit Required as per FRA guidelines: Waterproof whole body cover with taped seams, hat, gloves, waterproof map of the route, compass, whistle, emergency food.

Do I need to carry kit if the weather forecast is good?
Yes, there are no exceptions to the rule: No Kit = No Run.

Where can I find the correct map?
We have maps for sale as part of the entry system.

What time do I need to arrive on race day?
You should aim to arrive no later than 10:15 to give you time to register have your kit checked and warm up. Arriving late will only add to the pre race nerves!

Can I park anywhere?
We would like you to car share and park in the official carpark where possible, this will be well signposted on the day. You must park legally, safely and responsibly, we want to keep our good relationship with the people of Barley so the race can continue for many years!

Where do the races start?
Start outside the Old water pump station just up from the village hall GR 823402.

Is there anywhere to leave my kit?
You are advised to leave kit in your car at this race as the pub is open to the public and no Cannonball Events Staff will be in the building during the race.

Is there a minimum age to participate?
Yes, you have to be over 18 to participate.

How can I receive a club discount?
Contact us on jacek[at] to get a discount code. Please note that there is a minimum of 10 runners expected in order for the discount to be maintained, should this condition not be met we may ask the runners to pay back the discounted monies.

I like to run with headphones, can I race with them?
On 1st April 2016 UK Athletics banned the use of headphones in all road races with any length of open single carriage roads and in any race in which the race directors have identified hazards. We have taken the decision to ban headphones of any type from all races. We believe athletes need to be able to hear instructions and warnings from marshals, other athletes and members of the public.

When will results be published?
Provisional results will be online usually within seconds of the runners crossing the line (via our “live timing”), where a mobile phone signal is present. Please note these results are provisional and will not be sent to 3rd party websites until the relevant checks have been made.
