Running in winter

This year your own head torches can be used but they must be below 50 lumens in brightness, this is to prevent people being startled by extremely bright head torches.  If you do not own one i can sell you one for £3 including batteries that will do the job equally well.

Race info

Why stop racing just because the clocks have gone back? Using head torches and a well lit park we can have the same fun we had in the summer series! A festive theme to the last race will set you up for Christmas – details will follow.

*Fast 3 lap course (only 8 metres per km climb) around a flat picturesque park (making pacing easy).
*Great course for training, breaking a PB or just enjoying an organised run.
*Races are Chip timed and you will get lap split times.
*The course is certified by Course measurement and insured under UKA.
*All Results will appear on Run Britain and Power of 10 rankings.

route details

Route Description: The Route starts, turns and ends just outside the race HQ.  It runs up the CC entrance road, turns left through the gate onto a large straight.  It then goes past the famous lucky dog, down the small hill to the bowling green path entrance, where is turns left and goes around the bowling green square path.  You then have about a 600m straight passing the bandstand to the bottom of the path.  Here you exit through the gates and loop back round into the original entrance.  At the bottom of the path you turn and repeat the loop a further 2 times to the finish.  The clock will be at the start so those interested in pacing simply need to divide your target time by 3 to get there min per mile pace.
