Registration from 5.30pm - Race start time 7.00pm. November 20th, 27th, December 4th & 11th
Why stop racing just because the clocks have gone back? Using head torches and a well lit park we can have the same fun we had in the summer series! A festive theme to the last race will set you up for Christmas – details will follow. Route Description The Route starts and ends in the same position at the statue in the middle path of the park. This will allow runners to finish off the main route and not disrupt other runners still running. Starting from the middle path it goes past the lucky dog, down the small hill and heads along the straight path to the bowling green entrance. Turning right through the bollards onto the straight and keeping on the path passing the bandstand to the bottom of the path. It then goes round the cones to the long straight back to the beginning of the race route. Repeat this route another 4 times till you get to the finish. The clock will be at the start so those interested in pacing simply need to divide your target time by 5 to get your 1k lap time.
League Prizes - The races are run over 4 weeks and this means that league positions for both clubs and individuals will count and will be awarded. League Prizes (1) The top 3 male and female runners with the best average timesover the 4 races is awarded with a prize (minimum 3 races to qualify). (2) I will also award prizes for Course PB improvers – basically those who show the most percentage improvement over the 4 races. This targets those who work on their fitness in between each race and strive to get better personal best times. Again the top 3 men and women from this league will win a prize (minimum 3 races to qualify). Each race
