Route
The race will be flagged and marshalled.
Race Starts on Carr Road with a short climb up the road, it then heads up along and through a stunning woodland trail. Following some nice running on tunnelled woodland passes, you then come into the clearing where you head across and down a small steep descent onto the way path. You then descend for the first time eventually arriving at the gate (also the finish). The race then goes on the road to the next trail climb, after a short time the track turns to the right then you climb until reach the fence. Once at the fence you travel across the moor following the flags till you reach the stream crossing. Cross the stream and climb up to the final descent (that was completed on the first time round), finish at the gate.
I can email you the GPX of the route if you would like one or you can check it out or download it from the following link.
This will give you a more detailed map of the route.
Each year I will donate a percentage of my profits to a different charity.
This year in honour of my Grandma (Joan Mary Lloyd) I am donating to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
This is a very worthy charity and offers amazing facilities and respite for both patients and families
dealing with Cancer and the effects of the illness.
Collection buckets may also be placed at the different events to ask for
further loose change to help with their funds.
